What exactly is Partnership-Plus?
Partnership-Plus is made up of people just like you. We hear from thousands of people all over the United States who provide us with their monthly clothing purchase and gift information. The information is used by clothing manufacturers and stores to study the kinds of clothes people buy and receive.
What do manufacturers and stores do with the information?
They look for overall trends in the types of clothes that people buy across the country and in different regions of the country. They do not look at the purchases of any particular person. All your information is kept strictly confidential.
My personal information has changed. How do I let Partnership-Plus know my new information?
Simply log on to the Partnership-Plus web site, go to the "My Account" page, and click on "Edit" and update your information.
I lost my access to the Internet. Can I still participate in the Partnership-Plus program?
Unfortunately the answer is No. Our survey is only available online. If you loose your internet access and are unable to complete any surveys for a minimum of four months your account will automatically be deactivated.
What is the best way to keep track of my purchases?
Other Partnership-Plus members tell us the simplest and best way to keep track of purchase information is to save the sales receipts and garment tags from clothing purchases and gifts. Keep receipts and garment tags in a box or envelope until you complete your survey. Then, empty the box or envelope so it's ready for the next month's purchases.
Our Downloadable Purchase Tracking Sheet is another great way to keep track of information about your new clothing throughout the month. The tracking sheet is available to all members and is located in the "My Account" section of our website.
How can I get the price of an item if I don't have the receipts and tags?
Look on your check register or credit card statement for the price. If someone else bought the garment, ask them what the price was. If you don't know the price, or are not able to ask, please estimate.
What if I don't make any clothing purchases during the month?
Just tell us that! Knowing when you don't purchase new clothing is as important as knowing what clothes you did receive. In the months that you don't get any new clothing, be sure to log into the web site and let us know.
If I purchased clothing for other people should I include it on my survey?
No! You should only report the clothing you bought for yourself or that someone else purchased for you. Clothes that you purchase for someone else should never be included on your survey.
I currently buy vintage clothing. Should I include this clothing in my monthly Partnership-Plus survey?
No. Partnership-Plus is only interested in new clothing purchases. Please do not include vintage or other types of used clothing on your survey.
What if I get more than one of the same item?
Identical items have exactly the same style and features, even if they are different colors. You can then report these identical items on one survey page. Just enter the number of identical items you got and the price per item (excluding taxes) in the boxes as indicated. The total amount for all items will automatically appear in the Total Amount Paid box.
How can I find what fiber my article of clothing is made of?
Every garment has a fiber tag sewn into it. When completing your survey please refer to this tag for the correct fibers and percentages. On shirts, tops, and sweaters the fiber tag is at the back of the neck or on one of the side seams. On jeans, pants and shorts, the fiber tag is either on the waistband or near the inside of the zipper.
What are Performance Attributes?
Performance attributes are fabric treatments that improve an apparel item's functionality. Common performance attributes are stain-resistance and wrinkle-resistance; however there are many others, such as moisture control, UV light blocking, odor control, even built-in insect repellant. You'll find the performance attributes described on the tags and labels of your new clothes.
Can I refer people to join Partnership-Plus and can I get points for that?
Yes you can refer people to Partnership-Plus but unfortunately, we do not offer any points for doing so. If you would still like to tell someone about us, just send them this link.

I referred someone, but they were not accepted. Why?
To provide manufacturers and stores with accurate information, we need to have a panel that is balanced in terms of such things as gender and geographic region. Unfortunately, that means we sometimes cannot accept people if we have overrepresentation in a certain area.
Why don't you ask me about shoes?
We realize that shoes are an extremely important part of the fashion world. However, to keep the survey at a reasonable length, we are currently focusing on garments and not collecting information on footwear.
